Joe Yenerich, 53, of Paw Paw, IL, passed away peacefully at home, Sunday, May 19th, surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle against a long illness. Joe was born October 3, 1959, and spent most of his life doing what he loved, farming.

He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend, Pat, two cherished step-daughters April Gracz and Kristen (Jerry) Mielnikiewicz; loving sisters Susan (Denny) Prentice, Rita (Dave) Beam, Mary (Reid) Rissman, Judy (Chuck) Bergsmith; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his mother-in-law, Marianne Boncela, sister-in-law Cheryl (Chris) Sonne, brothers-in-law Jeff (Lori) Strunka and Mike (Gerry) Strunka and their children. He will also always be remembered by all those friends he made along his journey and held in his heart.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ruth Yenerich, and brother Mike.

Visitation will be at the Torman Funeral Home in Paw Paw, IL, Wednesday, May 22nd from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held to celebrate Joe’s life at the First Presbyterian Church of Paw Paw on Thursday, May 23rd at 11:00 AM., with a one hour visitation before the service.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mendota, IL.

    Joe was one of the nicest people I knew in school, Always a smile for all that pass by him. I know that you will be greatly missed, may you rest in peace Joe. God Bless you and your family!

  2. I remember Joe as a good friend, someone you could count on when you needed help, never asking questions. He will be missed by everyone here in Paw Paw who called him friend, and I know he will be missed by his family. My heart aches for all of you . . .
