Danny Allen, 45, of Paw Paw, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023, at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 7, 1977, in DeKalb, the son of Donald and Dorothy (Schoenholz) Allen. He married Danielle Harbin on September 11, 1999 at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church.
Danny graduated from Paw Paw High School in 1995. He farmed with his grandpa since he was a little boy and continued farming after his grandpa passed. In between farming, he owned his own trucking company and helped out other area farmers. He loved farming, motorcycles, and fishing. He rode numerous times with the Illinois Patriot Guard to honor deceased veterans. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his children. His children were the pride and joy of his life, it was the one thing he would always joke he got right.
Danny is survived by his wife, Danielle, of Paw Paw: two daughters, Alyssa Allen of Colorado Springs, CO and Adriana Allen of Paw Paw; mother, Dorothy (Bob) Arjes of Ozark, IL; sister, Dana (Mike Eide) Allen of Sycamore; step-brother, Jeff (Sunam) Arjes of Maryland; nieces and nephews, Ethan, Ava, Cole, and Eila Eide and Christopher and Ryan Arjes; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Danny is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Howard Sr. and Bernice Schoenholz.
A celebration of life will be at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church, 370 Wiley Avenue in Paw Paw with Pastor Dana Cox officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the church on Sunday. Cremation care will be provided following the services.
