Ryan Todd, 28, of Shabbona, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, IL. He was born December 4, 1997, in DeKalb, IL, the son of Dave Todd and Dena Heilbrun.
Ryan graduated from Kishwaukee College with an associate’s degree in criminal justice. He enjoyed throwing darts with family and friends. He was an avid sports fan, especially Chicago sports teams. He knew every stat and could talk about sports for days. Ryan had a big heart and cared about his family and friends immensely. He would do anything for anyone. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his niece and nephews. He was an old soul who loved classic country and music in general.
Ryan is survived his father Dave (Denise) Todd of Shabbona and Dena (Greg) Hill of Loves Park; siblings, Matthew (Angela) Hill, Adam Hill, Kalene (Michael) Bantz, Jaron (Mattie) Todd, and Jake Krantz; niece, Josie Bantz; and nephews, Jackson and Jace Bantz.
Ryan is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Rhonda Todd; maternal grandparents, Richard and Linda Heilbrun; and an uncle, Ron Todd.
Cremation care has been provided by Torman Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Indian Oaks Country Club, 603 Preserve Road, Shabbona, IL 60550. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
