Vivian Marie Mullins, 95, of Ashton, formerly of West Brooklyn, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, IL. She was born May 22, 1919, in Canby, MN, the daughter of Laurent and Josephine (Bresson) Jeanblanc.

Vivian was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in West Brooklyn. She was involved with numerous organizations, including Hobby Club, Altar and Rosary Society, and Catholic Order of Foresters. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Doug Pettenger, of West Brooklyn; step-children, Laurence, David, and Melanie Mullins; two grandchildren, Neal Pettenger, of Dixon, Paula (Marty) King, of Compton, and; seven great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; a sister, Marian Jeanblanc, of Compton; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Jeanblanc, of Mendota.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Pettenger, in 1958, and her second husband, Everett Mullins, in 2007; a son, Curtis Pettenger; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Pettenger; a granddaughter, Darla Lindenmier; three brothers, Herschel, Cletus, and Ivan Jeanblanc; and a sister, Faye Eddy.

Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Friday, April 24, 2015, at Torman Funeral Home, 510 Flagg St. in Paw Paw.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, April 25, 2015, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2520 Johnson Street, in West Brooklyn with Rev. Randy Fronek officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in West Brooklyn.

Donations in Vivian’s memory may be made for masses or a charity of the donor’s choice.
