Raymond Jacob Schoenholz, 96, of Paw Paw, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Heritage Health of Mendota. Raymond was born January 4, 1921 in Willow Creek Township, the son of Arthur and Alma (nee Baxter) Schoenholz. He was united in marriage to Louise Barrington on November 24, 1944 in the Norwood Presbyterian Church.

Raymond spent his entire life farming in and around the Paw Paw area. He was a member of the Mendota Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed shuffleboard and winters in Texas.

Raymond is survived by his son, Charles (Sue) Schoenholz, of Mendota; daughter-in-law, Janna Schoenholz of Paw Paw; five grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise; a son, Ronald Schoenholz; three brothers, Howard, Glenn, and Donald Schoenholz; and a half-brother, Vern Girton.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
