Kristy Sue McNeilly, 50, of Paw Paw, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford. She was born February 3, 1968 in Dixon, the daughter of Gordon Morse and Marita Oakley. She married Steve McNeilly on June 29, 2002 in Rockford.

Kristy battled illness for the last fifteen years. Even though she had her issues, she always found time to tend to the needs of others. She was a caring and loving mother to her three children, especially her adopted special needs daughter, Peyton, to whom she devoted so much time and strength.

Kristy is survived by her husband, Steve; two sons; Josh (Kaylea Zobal) Minter and Breck Minter; adopted daughter, Peyton McNeilly; two grandchildren, Jameson Kissee and Gerald Minter; her father, Gordon (Kathy) Morse; her mother, Marita (Tim) Woosley; brother, Ty (Alisa) Morse; a step-brother, Tim Woosley Jr., and a step-sister, Lizzy Miller.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the Torman Funeral Home, 510 Flagg Street in Paw Paw with Pastor Ken Foster officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Cremation care will be provided following the services.

Donations in Kristy’s memory may be sent to the family at 958 Johnson Road, Paw Paw, Illinois 61353.

  2. I am so sorry to hear about Kristy. I dont think we actually saw each other since I dropped by the hospital after Josh was born while I was home from the Air Force. High school would not have been the same without her living next door, and the world is not the same without her in it now.
